Angélica Dass is a photographer who used her art to highlight that human traits, such as skin color are not discrete groups but instead a spectrum of different shades.
Dass created a palette of color based on the people she photographed:
Her photography challenges how we think about skin color and
ethnic identity. In her Ted Talk, she explains the inspiration
behind her portrait project, Humanæ, and her pursuit to document
humanity's true colors rather than the untrue white, red, black and
yellow associated with race.
